For many running/jogging is one of the most enjoyable fitness activities you can do, while for others it is a competitive challenge that is all about improving performance, monitoring your PBs and winning races.
This programme is not directly focused on improving your cardio for running, we do not use treadmills or other cardio training machines. We believe the best place to run is not in a gym, it is out in the fresh air while experiencing a variety of terrains and environments. Indeed, we do have a unique way to enhance your cardiovascular fitness, however the foundation of the programme comes in the form of resistance training.
Our members who take part in our G4 Running Programme, report that their body is better prepared for the run, resulting in improvements in muscle tone, cardio fitness and ultimately a reduction in race times. Accompanying all of this is also an improved rate of recovery with less injuries due to a stronger more flexible and better prepared physique.
As the human body runs, there is a variety of pressures placed upon it, this can be observed with the increase in heart rate and impact your joints experience as your feet hit the ground. By increasing the muscle tissue and strength around the joints as well as circulation, this can alleviate some of the pressure that your joints face under the impact of each step, leaving you with a physique that is more capable and better prepared for a lifetime of running
